1. two identical resistors in series circuit total resistance of 8ohms.
the same two resistors are connected in parallel, what is total resistance?
a)0.5
b)2
c)4
d)8
2. In series total resistance = R+R
Therefore each resistor is 4 ohms
In parallel 1/total R = 1/R + 1/R
1/total resistance = 1/4 + 1/4
1/total r = 1/2
So r = 1/(1/2)
Total resistance is 2

thank you so much, completely reminded me of how it is 1/T as i kept thinking it was T so i kept thinking it was simply 1/2. thanks once again
