Immigrants to EU required to accept "European values"

Immigrants are to be required to sign a declaration accepting gay rights and the equality of men and women.

Sounds like the EUSSR wanting to impose its cultural marxism world view on people, what do you think... :holmes:

Interesting, not sure what I think. I can see it will be easy for anyone to sign and probably only be used when they wnat further evidence to deport people quickly.
It would be confusing as to why you would want to settle in a country which respects gay rights and equality of the sexes if you didnt?

Think we are at cross purposes. Whose perspective are you talking about? immigrant or government? I cna see why its being done and I think they are realistic, becayse its about deportation and not really trying to change what they believe.

I think it's stupid but for a different reason - if people have made the effort to enter Europe and obviously want to live there, they aren't going to refuse to sign a bit of paper saying they have to tolerate gay people even if they are extremely homophobic.

I believe If you are someone who wishes to live , travel or work in another country you should abide to the laws governed by that country, even if you may not agree with them , so yes they should agree to the gay rights and equality , just as we agree to dress in a certain manner in certain countries . As previously an immigrate myself (now citizen ) I agree that if you don't follow the countries laws then you should be deported , similar in most countries .
