Invited for informal interview

I've applied late through ucas (sent off form a couple of weeks ago) fully expected to be rejected as it I was all a bit rushed, but I've had an invitation for informal interview in June. What does this actually mean? I have no other information apart from date and time, now I've got months to stew on it!
Any help/advice would be appreciated, many thanks
It just means they are asking you to come and see them for a chat and from that they will decide whether to make you an offer and what terms.
Dont you have your exams to focus on?

They will just wnat to find out about you, see how you get along in a conversation, have a chat about the things in your persnal statement. its also a good chance to look around and see what you think of the uni. read your PS , be prepared on a few basic questions and be up to date on a few subject related topics.
