Did anyone else get really strange fractional values for the minimum cost part of William's dress making, like C = 349x + 399y?

I think I got 399x +329y :/
So what actually was the answer to the last part of the last question ?

I believe it was exactly 300 minutes.

How does that work? Surely 72 will always be 100 UMS, and 66 could be anywhere from roughly 90 - 99 depending on the grade boundaries?

In some cases, full marks equates to 100 UMS, but if the paper was especially difficult, 70-72 marks becomes 100 UMS. It depends on the paper really. This paper was quite tough, so maybe not 66 for 100 UMS, but perhaps 68.

Woah...

Maybe the Chinese surname is an allusion to the Chinese Postman algorithm (which was the basis of the question)? The plot thickens....

yeah I'm pretty sure you're right, 'cause the guy in the Chinese Postman question from last year was called Zhang

Most of my friends put this but I put 295 because I took away the 5 minutes break at Y 😭
