Why bother with a post grad? Are they even worth it? Have your say! 26-10-2016
1. Thought that was the answer to question 3

Thought that was the answer to question 3

That is right just in the answers the 1/x^2 in the numerator. So the x^2 multiplies by each term in the denominator.
3. Can anyone remember exactly what question 3 asked?
4. Can anyone remember specifically what question 2 was?
Was it:
integral between bounds of pi/16 to pi/8 for (8 - cos^4x) dx or something?

Will I lose marks for that

I highly doubt it. I put the same answer as well. it is technically correct just the formatting is exponential on the numerator is all.

It was more like (9-6cos^2x)
It was more like (9-6cos^2x)

Oh no... -.- I know where I went wrong now I wrote it down as (9 - 6cos^4(2x)).

Great.
9. The one where you worked out k and x, did it ask for which values of x is valid???
10. crap I wrote the differential of 1/x as lnx. what a rookie error

Yes it did. Don't worry if you missed it out though, probably only 1 mark.

i did this also. 5 Marks gone, was hoping for an A* but now struggling for an A
13. For 10)ii) did it say that y=1/256 when x=0 and it wanted you to work out what y is when x=2? I can't figure out what mistake I made, got something ridiculous like 1/3000e^2
14. If you graphed the cubic for all real values of x, that should be 1/2 right???
15. Is 10i slightly incorrect? Should 2 and -4 not be switched around?
It was more like (9-6cos^2x)
It was 9-6cos^2(4x)

I think that'll be 3/5. lose the answer mark and one of the method marks, so not the end of the world
18. (Original post by Super199)
It was 9-6cos^2(4x)
Oh, in which case the integral can be rewritten as:
integral of 12 - 3cos8x correct?
19. (Original post by Sid1234)
I dont think that was any easier than June 2014 - I think 57 or 58 for an A*
I wish, more like 63 for an A*
20. (Original post by Samwakelin)
I wish, more like 63 for an A*
it wasn't that easy haha
