A planet is an astronomical object orbiting a star or stellar remnant. The moon orbits the earth which is neither of those.

It's a natural satellite  ^^.

It can be used for the infinite tsukuyomi so it's not a planet.
It is a super massive satellite

A parsnip is the same shape as a carrot though that doesn't necessarily mean they are the same thing
So is an orange, what's your point?
No. The moon orbits the Earth, which is a planet, therefore the moon is a satellite

So is a football, but you have not asked about them.

A planet is defined roughly thus:

It is an astronomical object orbiting a star or stellar remnant (i.e. not a planet) that (a) is massive enough to have been made roughly round in shape by its own gravity, (b) is not massive enough to cause thermonuclear fusion, (c) and
has cleared its orbit of smaller objects and debris.

No, a planet is defined as a round object orbiting a star or stellar remnant that has cleared its orbit of other stuff. While the moon is large enough that it might well qualify as a planet if it orbited the sun, it orbits the earth so it isn't.
no, the moon is not a planet. it is made of cheese though.

, which applies only to the Solar System,

Good point! What would be called a planet inside the solar system is known as an exoplanet elsewhere.
