Law students - tell us about yourself

I saw one for Medicine students, so I thought why not do one for law. If you want to have a go please answer the questions below. Some are kinda similar to the medicine ones  :

Which law school do you go to?

What year of Law school are you in right now?

What area of Law do you want to specialise or work in?

Have you applied for training contracts?

Do you remember the moment you first decided to do Law? If so, what was it?

Is anyone else in your family a lawyer?

Do you want to become a Solicitor or Barrister (or other)?

What do you think of suits?

How difficult do you find Law?

Which Law School do you go to ?
University of Glasgow

What year of Law School are you in right now ?
Second Year

What area of Law do you want to specialise or work in?
If I decide to practice then, Medical Law or Succession Law.

Have you applied for training contracts?
Nope, too early

Do you remember the moment you first decided to do Law ? If so, what was it ?
After competing in debating competitions i realised I liked to argue and thought it would be cool to do so for a living (I was 13)

Is anyone else in your family a lawyer?
No just me :u:

Do you want to become a Solicitor or Barrister (or other)?
Weirdly law is my back up plan as a career and if so it would be a solicitor. Long story short, the practice and study of law are completely different, and after taking an elective in forensic medicine (amongst other reasons) I have now decided to pursue graduate entry medicine.

What do you think of Suits ?
I don't watch any Law related shows, I prefer 24 Hours in A&E or Casualty.

How Difficult do you find Law?
Tbh, like most degrees it really depends on what area of the law I am studying as like everyone I have my strengths and weaknesses.
I would say that the workload is the biggest difficulty, as the work can snowball if you don't keep on top of it every day.
