when I use p = m / v to find the density i use M / 4/3pi ( r 3 )

say teh mass is 1.67 x 10^-27 and the radius is 1.4x 10^-15 do you get the answer of 1.5 x 10^17?

if so, how do you key it into your calculator? 1.67 x 10^-27 / OPEN bracket... ?? how?

Are you finding the density of a sphere I take it? If so:

Density (Spherical Object) = m/v = (1.67 * 10^-27)/(4/3 pi * r^3)
= (1.67 * 10^-27) / [4/3pi*(1.4 * 10^-15)^3]
= (1.67 * 10^-27)/(1.149404032 * 10^-44)

= 1.45 * 10^17 kgm^-3

elpaw, you did it wrong! Volume of a sphere is 4/3 * pi * r^3
