    Hi there,

I would really appreciate it if someone could take the time to explain this question. I've seen the mark scheme but still don't really understand what the question is getting at!

This question is asking you to explain why some mutations disrupt function of CFTR. As you should know, there are different types of mutations which can either disrupt the function of a normal protein or it can go unnoticed and the protein remains functional. Since the question clearly states "With reference to the information given in the table", you should state how some mutations disrupt Chloride ion movement across the plasma membrane while other mutations do not. You should clearly state the different types of mutations which can happen and whether or not they affect the protein function.
