Should I Go To College To Do My Highers ?

So recently I have been thinking about going to college to sit my Highers instead of school. If I was going I would be doing a full time course called access to humanities which is higher English,History,Psychology, and Politics. I'm a bit wary of it however as I know it's a lot more independent study. I do study a reasonable amount at the moment at least one hour a day but I know highers will be a lot more work than National 5 especially at college. However I'm not coping well at the moment with the school environment (I have quite bad social anxiety and can barely even concentrate in classes any more and my attendance hasn't been that great) Has anyone ever sat their highers at college is it a good idea or not ? And is the environment any better or will leaving school be the worst decision I have ever made ?
