Advice about a girl from uni

I'm first year at university who found a girl attractive in my halls, who I want to get to know better. I recently decided to Facebook message the girl with a message about how I thought she was interesting, to which she replied with a message putting herself down. I then reply that she is interesting and that I would like to go for a drink or something. Thing is one of her mates from halls maybe coincidentally added me on Facebook around about the same time.

It's been a day and I am waiting for a reply. Btw we have made eye contact a few times before. Have I got a chance or is there not enough info to have a good guess?

You have no chance

The mistake was asking her online, you should have talked to her in person and asked it.

Anyway all you can do is try and talk to her when you see her about.
