I have received unconditional offers for both unis and am currently stuck between which one to pick. I am from central Scotland with all of my family and friends living in the central belt, which is one reason I do not want to move to Aberdeen but the uni does seem good. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

Why are you even considering Aberdeen if you know you don't want to move away from your friends and family? Personally, I think the course is the most important thing but not everyone is the same. If you think you will be unhappy living away from the people you care about then odds are you will do badly in your degree.

If I were you I would pick Strathclyde for the following reasons..

    1. You said you are not keen on moving away from home
    2. Strathclyde performs better in the league tables
    3. It has a really good Law Clinic and is amazing work experience whilst gaining your degree (I wish Glasgow had a Law Clinic lol !)
    4. I mean you might not be interested in this, but they have a joint Scots and English Law degree which would be amazing as it would allow you to work out with Scot, in either England or Wales.

    Hope this helps !
