1. I'm doing vector exam quesitons because they are really my biggest weakness, do any of you know how to tackle the questions properly? I have no problem with the easy stuff like find speed, velocity, position vector, but it's the last part of the questions usually where they ask the boat is south, west, behind, next to light house all that stuff...

Anyway I would really appreciate if one if you can explain the last part of this questions, I just do not understand it.

Question 6(c)

2. At 10am, t=1, the ship is at position vector .
The lighthouse relative to the ship is west, so is in the direction. So the line that the lighthouse lies on is given by , where is just a scalar parameter.

At 10.30am (t=1.5) the ship is at and the lighthouse is in the south west direction to this potion. Can you find an equation for this line? If you can all you need to do is solve the 2 equations simultaneously.
