He's just trying to make the point that 20≈4.47\sqrt{20} \approx 4.47, and not ==; but that's not something you need to worry about right now, to be honest.

That's what I'm saying mate, I was joking. In maths we try and work with exact answers.
If area is 20 then side length is 20=25 \sqrt{20}=2\sqrt 5 .
Volume is side length cubed =(25)3=405 =(2\sqrt{5})^3 = 40\sqrt 5 .None of this rounding business.
I'm not making fun of you, I'm just having some maths banter.
