Why bother with a post grad? Are they even worth it? Have your say! 26-10-2016

Really stuck on which uni to firm and which as insurance, I can see myself at Cardiff but Sheffield is miles better when it comes to the league tables (Sheffield 7th, Cardiff 30th) is anyone at either of the unis and can offer some advice or positive and negatives for the two? I am so stuck and could really do with some help. Thank you

Hi there, I am the admissions tutor for BMS. When students ask me this type of question at an open day I give them this answer.
    1. Look at the course. Check the content and the structure. You need to be really happy that the degree is going to stimulate your interest. The more you enjoy the course, the more motivated you will be and this will have a positive impact on your studies.
    2. Look at the university - you need to be comfortable with the feel of the place, the accommodation and the facilities.

Ideally the degree and university you choose should tick both of these aspects.
In terms of us versus Cardiff be guided by what you feel is right for you (rather than go for the position on the league table). Good luck with your exams and your studies (whichever university you choose).
