Hi, I've received an offer from the university of warwick to study Accounting and Finance in Sept 2017 (i deferred my entry). But before i accept this offer, I just have a few doubts in my mind first that I would like to clarify.
1. I notice that the university does not offer A&F with a year in Industry. However, if i wanted and requested, will I be able to take an optional full year off (e.g. in my 3rd year) just for work placement? Because not having this option is currently a push factor as to why i have not accepted the offer, as other universities offer a year in industry as part of their A&F course, but warwick does not. Also, what do employers think about students who do a year in industry in their course and how useful is it doing a year in industry in terms of getting a job after I graduate or even getting a contract from the company during the year in industry for a job after I graduate?
2. If I do end up accepting my warwick offer now, when do I apply for accommodation for my 2017 entry? Do I apply this year at the end of may, or do i book my accommodation next year may/june when it opens again for people who have accepted in the next cycle.
Thanks for all your answers!
