Transferring to Media Production?

Why bother with a post grad? Are they even worth it? Have your say! 26-10-2016

I am currently a Psychology Student at Hull, however I am in talks currently of transferring to a different uni and a different course.

I was wondering if anyone on here does the Media Production course as I'm interested in switching to that, however I am a little concerned with the drop out rate (Reportedly 13%), and I was wondering if any students do study the course, why is it that the rate is so high?

And if anyone has anything they could say about the uni itself that would be incredibly helpful.

    Many thanks!

Hi! I'm actually transferring to this course into the second year also, but I currently in my first year do one module on their course. I would reckon the drop out rate would be similar for any course at DMU. As it's a uni that lets basically anyone on their course you get a lot of demotivated people who come, don't realise how much work you have to do and give up. That's life eh, so I wouldn't let that bother you too much!

DMU is what you make of it. The media production course is great, but make sure to get involved with societies, especially Demon Media to make your most out of your time here.
