I wear pj's all the time to go to sleep in at home. (Obviously, when not in bed, I don't wear PJs, I wear normal clothes.) Though I wouldn't recommend wearing PJs whilst going to the shops, and definitely not in lectures. (During my 3 years as a university student I have never seen anyone is PJs at university.)

It sure can be... at other times though it can be sunnier and warmer than Spain! Which is lovely!
