Can anyone help me with how on earth you answer 9 mark questions for AQA business studies, ive been told by my teacher that the evaluation is worth 5 marks and when i ask how to do them, im told to "evaluate my answer" but when it comes to an exam question, how to i properly apply this to the question, thanks

    yes can someone help?

    Main Body
Pick an option from the scenario and mention 2 disadvantages and 2 advantages. Make sure you explain the effect it will have on the business.

Recommend an option for the scenario. State the main advantage of the option and the effect it will have on the business, contrast this to the main disadvantage of the option that you didn't choose. Explain the short and long term impact of choosing the option, and mention an effect it might have on a stakeholder from the scenario.

Buss 1 and 2 retakes anyone?

This is how we where taught to do it
Give one example of one options use (good to use application here)
Give one example of the other options use (again application would be good)

Then we break it into an evaluation paragraph of
D (Decide which option you think is best/ can evaluate easier)
I (It depends upon- e.g Choosing flow production depends upon the type of business...)
S (In the short term- What could be the problems/benefits in the short term or long term)
C (Cost implications of your choice)
O (Other factors that could affect the decision)
    (M) (Most important factor- This is a good one to put in a I recommend)

Basically thats the structure I use (I normally get 9/9) but what you need to do is do
    5 points of evaluation
2 points of knowledge (e.g 60% of sole traders go bust within the first year)
2 Points of application to the case study (This can come in any where but if you get over it at the start then you don't need to worry about it)

    (I hope this is useful)
