Chemistry Research Project ideas...

I have been tasked to design a university-style research project to support my A-Level Chemistry qualification. I can do it on anything that I want but it must incorporate research, theory and also a practical element. I am stuck on what area of chemistry to look at...any suggestions on interesting areas/project ideas would be very helpful!
