Thank you do you by any chance know why we dont times the answer by sin30?
It's not sin30 because the side you are shown is QP. Side QS is pointing into the paper so no matter how much the coil is rotated it is always perpendicular to the magnetic field

Hi. Can someone please explain and show this to me? This is June'12, Q-18)c)
Attachment 552512
Do you know the head to tail rule for vectors(this was taught in AS)? Simply use that rule and since momentum is to be conserved, we will get a closed polygon.
4. Good luck for tomorrow everyone

thanks and you

Famous last words.
7. I really hope I don't screw up the exam. Luckily my uni doesn't require a grade in physics for maths haha.
8. Hi. Can someone explain me the answer for June 2014 IAL Q15 c ii?
9. I get C
Use flux=NBA so 50*0.002*0.0004 (because area is given in cm^2)
10. Good luck to everyone sitting this exam tomorrow! #LetsGetIt

Exactly !! I am pretty sure I am gonna get fisted by a conducting rod.
12. hey guys how did your exam go? personally i found it to be average- june 2015 was much easier than this. but a lot of people are saying it was extremely easy?
13. Ive started a new thread for IAL exams so that we can have a separate discussion, please join in at:

15. How did everyone find the exam?
16. Not good for me. I've heard people saying it was alright. I did pretty badly in that myself.

How did everyone find the exam?
Abit too easy tbh. Boundaries probably higher then last year.

18. Well that was quite straightforward, but I'm sure I got the capacitor question wrong...

It was a surprisingly nice paper
