Mature student applying away from home
I've been working towards going to uni and am planning to apply for the 2017 cohort. So far my plans have been to apply to local universities, however the idea of applying further afield is starting to appeal to me. Any advice, or views based on experience would be appreciated.

I cant see how your age makes much difference? Same pros and cons as for sixth formers. Look at courses, visit the places and see what you think. It will be more expensive if you arent libing at home but living in a new area can be cool. Imo you only get the full uni experience going away. If you havent been to uni before then do it if it comes out top on the pros v cons list.
