    Hi Everyone ,

I am 18 and I have been looking for a job for a few months now i don't have many qualifications and i am not so sure what i am lacking in on my CV i have some work experience from volunteering at a charity shop Oxfam .
i have had a few job interviews Herons Food , Subway and Primark (twice ) but they didn't go successful the most hurtful one is Primark as i have had a interview there twice the first time it just wasn't successful but the second time i got put on a reserve saying that i have to wait 16wks but i have just gotten an email back saying they don't want to go any further with my application. I am stressing out on this so much i have tried applying for apprenticeship but no one is wanting me i am not sure what i have done wrong.

Does anyone know what i can do? thank you.

It sounds like the volunteering really helps you to get interviews, but your interview technique is letting you down. It can be quite tough to get a job and its not nice when someone says no. Try not to take it personally and if possible get feedback. What you really need is to practice your interview technique, so the employer sees you as somone they want to hire. My guess would be hat you answers arent good enough and that you ont come across with enough enthusiasm and focus about wanting to work for them. Practice will improve that.

Talk to a careers adviser and maube find your local careers service where someone can arrange a mock interview for you and hen give you feedback on where they think you are going wrong. Its just a skill to learn.

Have you tried getting a qualification on the side. It might help your CV stand out!

Have you considered apprenticeships? They don't pay as much as a regular job but you get to gain alot of skills and qualifications whilst still earning
