Edexcel Unit 3b

I am new here and I may be unaware of some conventions here..I have Physics unit 3b this may..I really need to know about the conventions and rules for plotting graphs and what experiments I need to practice..
also,from the book published by hodder education on page 145,my calculated value for resistivity does not seem to match that of the book..how can it be solved(finding the resistivity)?..it would be appreciated if somebody could share some information..
