What does dilute sulfuric acid test for?

also, what does NaOH test for?

Not sure what dilute H2SO4 tests for. But concentrated H2SO4 is used as a oxidising agent (halogens).

NAOH tests for:
>Aluminium ions - white precipitate forms
>Zinc ions - white precipitate forms
>Calcium ions - white precipitate forms
