**** English Language/Literature

Why bother with a post grad? Are they even worth it? Have your say! 26-10-2016

I despise English. I hate the people who are **** at Maths, Sciences etc. but can achieve highly on English... not to mention those who are Asian (I am too, no hate) of which can somehow pass the subject despite the fact that it's not their first language! Being Asian myself (although I do seem to converge with the native British majority) does mean my ability is underestimated, merely because of my skin colour.

People who are in the higher sets, getting A/A* grades are so arrogant (as are their teachers).

Just wanted to put it out there!

Shut up mate.Theres arrogant people who are good at maths, science etc,not just English.
    Stop generalising
At my school everyone in set 1(my set,so i know how they're like) is Asian and they get good grades, and it is their first language(along with their native language)

And so what if they're **** at Maths,Science but good at English.Whats your problem?Would it be okay if they were good at Maths/Science instead.

Look, I hate English too. I'm in top set for it, still hate it. Don't understand how it is marked, too vague, too wishy washy, you know? But you just have to get on with it! Honestly, it is imo the most important subject out of all of them so just keep on trying with it.
