So, as always my newsfeed is covered with friends and friends of friends being "mentioned" on a video of, say, cats falling into, out of and onto stuff. It just got me wondering...

If a friend of mine comments on a post and mentions a friend who I am not friends with (if that makes sense), can I always see the post? Is there a way to hide this in privacy settings?

For example, often people I don't know, and with a high degree of privacy setting, are tagged in videos by those I am friends with. But is it possible for that friend of a friend to hide such "mentions" thereby not showing up on my newsfeed, but only on the feeds of those they are friends with?
