My first higher exam is next Thursday but for the last 3 months I've been agony and down from an undiagnosed illness, I was taken into hospital 5 days ago and just got out and have been found to have arthritis. However i'm really worried about the exams as I need to get ABBB for my uni offer but I feel I've not studied at all as with all of this going on I've not even been able to hold a pen or a book as my finger and wrists and all my joints were so swollen, the hospital even said I was lucky not to have caused permanent damage. All my friends and family do think i'm capable of doing this but i'm still feeling mentally unstable after my whole plan from this year got thrown upside down, I may have the chance to sit a 7th year in school but i'm worried the uni next year won't give me another offer now if I turn it down this year and I waste the year by not getting another offer but I don't want to sit these exams when i'm doubting myself so much then screw them up and have fails on my record cause that will look worse. Can anyone give any advice on what I should do?? I need to decide by next Thursday so any help would be great!

you could ring up to ask to defer the course till next year as you have genuine circumstances, i think theyd only reject you if you just turned them down this year with no explanation. if you defer you wont be turning the offer down itll just be extending the conditional offer till your results next year

i defered nottingham trent due to family problems and they were fine with it, i then turned them down the following year for a uni closer to home
