Mature Student going to Derby to study Radiography. Accommodation or travel?

Hi - I'm looking for advice from other mature students who live in the South Yorkshire area about whether it is better to travel to lessons each day or stay in the week? Also if any radiography students could give me an idea of their current timetable for time spent in lessons that would be helpful.

I'm based near Doncaster so without traffic I would be losing a good couple of hours each day travelling. The train also seems costly even with a season ticket. My only other option is to stay in the week but don't fancy being away from my partner and my current home and paying twice the amount of bills.

Is there anyone in a similar position that can advise?

Hiya, I have a conditional offer on this course. I am also a mature student. I live at rotherham and plan to drive.
I was speaking to a third year student who lived near me and she drove.
I am thinking staying in accomodation when on placement.
I have a parner and son so don't want to be away from them all week every week.
