Applying to study art in Cali - application help please!

Hi there,
I've just started researching into applying to USC and Art Centre in Los Angeles to study illustration (specialising in entertainment art) or game design, and I've been reading up on the application process.
I just wanted to ask a couple questions about figuring out my GPA - how do I go about converting my grades? In my A-levels I got an A*, A and a B. I've found some rudimentary ways of calculating GPA but I want to check and see how you guys are going about it.

Also, on the subject of SATs and ACTs, how do you go about taking these in the UK? How do I take them, and where do I research them beforehand?
Any advice would be rad, thanks!

You're not supposed to convert your GPA. They don't even do that in admissions.

Go to collegeboard.org and search for your nearest testing center (for the SAT). You take one or the other generally. Check out the reqs on USC's website. I started studying about 2-3 months before I took the SAT. Definitely buy preparation books and do as many practice papers as you can. Good luck.
