There's a woman who was good and righteous all her life but she locked up a cat and didn't feed her therefore she was sent to hell
Whereas there's a woman who was a prostitute, and as you may know, prostitution in Islam is forbidden, she was in a desert and she found a well. As she was about to drink from the well she saw a dog who looked really thirsty. She used her shoe to get some water from the well to give him some and because of that she was sent to Paradise. We believe that Allah's mercy is really wide...no matter how much anyone knows a person, there is no way to assume where they would end up. We believe that oppressing someone is against the morals of Islam, however no one apart from Allah can determine whether they would end up in hell or not. Hope this helped :smile:

So Allah is irrational enough to punish one mistake by a good person by sending them to hell and reward someone who has apparently "sinned" all their lives but did one right thing with a eternity of paradise??

It's not that Allah is irrational, the lady who killed the cat was known to be righteous but people didn't know her properly..also the prostitute gave the dog water for the sake of Allah and because Allah is merciful he forgave her. That's the whole moral of these two stories...don't judge a book by its cover
