Risk at an IB

    How much would the salary be like in 2016 for a risk analyst/associate/VP at an IB (bulge bracket). Also, since it is middle office, does that mean that it is similar in competition to a front office role? Also, are working hours better or worse than IBD and trading?

    salary - not 100% but heard 36k-42k base is commonplace as an analyst

    competition is strong but generally front office is most competitive areas

    working hours are noticeably better than many fo areas
