What hair style should I adapt?

For the past 3/4 years I've adopted a quiff comb over kind of hair style however the hairstyle just doesn't really suit my hair type.

I am half Chinese and half English and unfortunately I have the Chinese hair genes. My hair isn't thin, however, my hair is extremely straight which gives the illusion of my hair being thin (I used to have should length hair which was very thick). Even when I style my hair, it's still quite straight although it may curve slightly due to the direction I style it.

I am looking for hairstyles which have require short back and sides (this is a necessary) and I don't really want short hair on my top part of my head as I want to be able to sophisticate it quite a bit. If it helps, I have an oval shaped face and black hair.
