Law degree (LLB) or GDL (conversion course)?

I know this question has been asked several times, however I thought I would ask so there would be a more updated version with more recent experiences.
I'm in year 12 but I've spoken to my teachers and I am predicted AAA in History, Politics and Religious Studies. I've wanted to do a law degree for quite a while but have heard it gets very dry. If I were to do a conversion course I would probably take History or History and Politics. However, I don't think I work well under intense pressure of only learning the 7 core modules in one year (I know a law degree is in intense but it's spread over three years)
So I was wondering if I could have opinions from people that have done law degrees and those who have done the GDL and find out if anyone has regretted their choice?
