Sitting the New Linear AS Level exams?

Hi Guys,

I'm studying French, Classics, Law, Theatre Studies and Medieval History A Levels. The latter of which is one of the new linear exams. AQA have not, however, published a textbook for my History unit (Angevins) this year - it comes out on May 28th and the exam is May 25th.

I was thinking about pulling out of the exam as I would be sitting a paper that I was not able to revise for due to the negligence in the production of the textbook.

Will this affect me when applying to University as I have not done the AS exam (even though I'd have to resit it next year regardless because I do want to take the full A-Level)? I would have predicted grades for my Universities to go by and my AS grades in my four other subjects.

What have your schools done about sitting the AS exams in spite of needing to redo them next year regardless of how well you do? Are you all doing them?
Wow that's ridiculous. I'd pull out if I were you. You've still got your other four AS's anyway.
