- did i Need to proof of 3 years residency before aplying...?

It's 3 years just for the tuition fee loan. But EU students (3 year rule also applies) are entitled to the tuition fee loan too.

Just to clarify - EU students automatically qualify for the Tuition Fee Loan, regardless of residency in the UK. They just need to have been resident in the EU for three years before the start of their degree.

If an EU student wants the Maintenance Loan in addition, since 25th March this year they need to have been resident in the UK for five years before the start of their degree. If they applied for SF before 25th March, it was only three years.
