For the past year I have been doing a two hour commute to uni by bus. I don't actually mind this commute. But I might be in the position to do my next years commute by car if I can pass my test in time.

I believe this will drop my commute time from 2 hours (one way trip) to about an hour (maybe a bit longer).

But i'm debating is it actually worth it? driving these lengths of time on a motorway would be more tiring and at least on a bus I can read and stuff.

If you can read on the bus, stay on it. The time isn't wasted if you're reading. Once you get on the motorway in a car you have to concentrate on the road 100% and it can also give you a backache. Driving is boring too, even if you have music on. Stay on the bus m8.
