For question 4 i managed to get the correct value for B but i cant seem to get a correct, what method should i be using?

Expand out the brackets, the coefficients of x and x^2 (in the final expansion) should be 0, what are the coefficients of x and x^2 in terms of a and b? Once you equate those to 0, you'll get a and b.
