Postgraduate funding options for LPC?

Hello,

I'm hoping to commence study on the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Northumbria University this September, but I'm not confident I'll be able to fund it completely.

The full-time LPC at Northumbria Uni costs £9,400. After an academic discount of 5%, I will have to pay £8,930.

I'll also have to somehow meet maintenance costs for the duration of my studies.

Can anyone therefore advise in relation to the following:

i) does the LPC qualify for funding under the government's new postgrad loan scheme?

ii) aside from the the career development loan offered by some high street banks, are there any other funding options available for prospective LPC-ers?

If anyone can offer any help I would be really appreciative.

Thanks!
The Postgraduate Loans are only for Masters level courses.

Email the Dept - they should be able to tell you how people have funded this course before.
Ask on the sfe forum what their view is on the UoL LLM. which includeds the LPC.
Alternatively you are looking at a Career Development Loan.

If it were me then I wouldnt commence the LPC without getting someone else to pay or at least have a TC. Thats just me though.
