Well that went fairly well. It wasn't too bad of a paper.
Majority was fine, but six advantages of ICT for registering students? The ****?!

I thought exactly the same, managed to get six but it took some time.
Lovely paper I thought
A decent paper. Very very dependent on learning of the mark schemes. The candidate differential will be huge on this exam
Easy peasy!!I was stupid and only revised last night but I memorised the mark scheme answer for every possible question that could come up and predicted that home and education in ICT would come up as they hadn't used it in a while. 6 advantages was a bit extreme though , think I got them hopefully. Overall I'm very happy with it

How will it be huge? Everyone I know found it alright?

A lot of people don't actually learn the mark schemes. Did everyone you know who found it easy do so?

Remember there is a difference between thinking they did alright and them actually doing alright. Though this applies to all of us.

Don't think so, maybe they just assumed they were right😂😂 our teacher gave us different advantages and disadvantages to those in the mark scheme so they probably just learnt them instead of checking mark schemes

Yeah that's exactly what I mean. Many people last year thought they did really well only to find they got a C or D

Only those of us who read the questions thoroughly and wrote down the mark scheme can be confident that we have done well. However, the last time a CAL and distance learning question such as that came up, they did say 'accept any other reasonable answer'

I thought it was a fair paper but the e-mail question caught a lot of people out! I thought 6 advantages wasn't too bad, but I did revise that quite a lot so I guess that could be why, tbf I think we managed to predict the whole paper anyway! And also, for those who are doing the A2 paper this year too, there will be a predictions document by the end of the week on that thread! Good luck for the rest of your exams everyone.

What did you all write for the music and photography question?

What did you all write for the music and photography question?

Music has had a big influence on home entertainment. There are two main areas of relevance; Music downloading and music composition.

I then went on to give an advantage/brief description of the two.

Photography has a root in the home. Although images are often taken outside of the home, those images are edited at home through the use of image editing software. The software allows people to take many photos and then crop, rotate and add effects to them, also allowing them to take many photos and then giving them the option to keep only the best ones. However, the specialist software ie: Adobe photoshop can be expensive to purchase.

It was difficult to figure out where the marks came from for this, so I just wrote descriptively hoping to satisfy the 'impact' command word in the question

Got a U in the exam last year and an A in the coursework because I didn't read the mark schemes. This year hopefully went well

Ouch, I forgot I was doing A2 exam for IT too, I thought that was the end of IT :colonhash:

I had to leave the Email till last as it was asking in context of the organisation lol took a while to remember for me.

Anyone else found theere wasn't enough space to write? I had to squeeze a lot of my answers for some reason. It was as if WJEC was trying to save paper lol

I only did the question asking for a "Search" wrong as I didn't include it in the evidence, thus I replaced it with filter -_-

It was a good paper overall though.
I could only think of one advantage and one disadvantage for weather forecasting :/
What did everyone put for a definition of data compression and a benefit ?

What did everyone put for the 4 methods and 6 advantages for the registration question?
