I recieved a letter today saying that my student finance payments for 2016-2017 could not be made because the company couldn't verify my NI number with department of work and pensions. I am 100% sure that the number is right as I've still got the original letter with my number on from when I was 16. If I send this letter off with the form they gave me, letting them know it's definitely correct, will I get my payments? Is it possible that my NI number is wrong and I need to apply for another one?

In addition, according to my online account, it says my application is approved and my payments are scheduled, even though my NI is apparently not verified. What does this mean???
