Hello, could someone please with accurate knowledge or experience please explain to me the importance and worthiness of a 2:1 degree and a BSc Hons degree towards employers. My MAIN concern is, what are the requirements to achieve a 2:1 second class upper degree: college courses, GCSE, etc. Also as I am studying BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma Business, and if i achieve DDD along with A* within English Language A level, how many UCAS points will this equal to?

    DDD (BTEC) + A* = 500 UCAS points

A 2:1 (second class upper division) is obtained by achieving 60-69% average across all your weighted degree modules in terms of employment a lot of graduate specific entry schemes require a 2:1 or higher, however there are some that require a 2:2 (50-59%) and more and more of them are becoming available.
