Hey guys, would anyone mind guiding me through 8b? Really not sure what to do - keep getting an answer completely different to 3480 n!! :/
Outline:
F=ma to find the "resultant force" acting on the van parallel to the plane.
Then, resolving parallel to the plane:
"Resultant force" = tension x cos 12 - resistant - "component of weight down the plane"
Post some working if you'd like someone to check.
