I registered to vote last year for the GE. I enjoyed doing so, but I chose not to vote today because I didn't know enough about the candidates; there were too many elections and it would take too long to research them all individually.

For the past month I've been getting a leaflet through the door (addressed to me) multiple times weekly in people trying to get my vote, but non of them are helpful as they all say the same stuff. Today I also had a geezer knocking on the door (I ignored the first knock, he kept ringing the bell so I answered) trying to get my vote.

How can I stop getting these things?

I can't remember which options I selected when registering to vote; I think I clicked on the option to vote in all elections and to join the open register. Would opting out of these work?
