They've been telling us what to do for the last 40 years, and they've represented my interests far better than any elected British government has in my life time.

Wow, this is a GREAT poll. I can see that this thread was created with the intention to put across well-reasoned discussion and debate, and not to promote your own views arrogantly.
Erm, this is the kind of survey that would come up in a maths test.

"Rakesh wants to make a survey to find out what Brits think about the EU referendum. Here is his survey:

Why should we leave the EU?

___ Yes ___ No ___ I CAN'T THINK FOR MYSELF ___ I'M IN LOVE WITH ANGELA MERKEL

Name two things wrong with this survey.

1) ________________________________
2) ________________________________

Design a new survey for Rakesh."

typical, isn't it? she, a leader of a nation and continent that stands against islamic values, lets in muslims, whom will be given welfare, and suddenly he thinks she's okay. I mean, the quran itself says that there should never be a female leader, and then her she is, being praised by hypocritical muslims
Is there a place I can read up unbiased, informative criticisms of both sides? I don't know a lot about the EU.

TSR is just not the place for that anymore..

You got to accept my friend, if yesterday's elections proved anything it's that people are more than happy with the status quo, they want to keep things as they are and that includes maintaining the EU and staying in it. I'd love to come out of the EU but it will never happen

Part of the problem is socialists, liberals and left wingers realise they can't get into power democratically at home so the EU is their stepping stone to a left wing, socialist utopia

At least Merkel admits to being Muslim though

exactly
"the EU gives us workers' rights"
we have a democracy at home though that can do that via elections
"I don't care, I want my stuff now now now. to hell with your democracy"

they don't really directly tell us what to do.. Also, agree that you sound like a paper question.
But I mean, if you don't want to be able to live in other countries without a Visa, be able to have the EU say phone companies can't charge everyone a ridiculous amount abroad, and have more of a diverse place around you, among many many other things, then sure, vote leave. But leaving the EU won't improve the country; the house of lords is unelected, yes they can be bypassed, but still, they're unelected.

We don't have a constitution as a country; the government could literally take away all our rights and there would be nothing to stop them without the EU. (hypothetical, but still could occur if wanted)

Yes, I'd rather have some politicians in Brussels, who are devoid of a political agenda, making laws than David Cameron.
