Brayford Court - 2nd Year?

Hey i'm going into my second year and really wanted a house but had a disagreement with my housemate (i've basically had enough) and was looking at brayford court as most of the houses are gone/friends signed contracts by now.

Just hoping someone could give their opinions on these questions:
Whats it like for a second years?
Are there many other second years?
Is it social or are those in charge like anti students?
Also i've heard loads of bad things about lighthouse properties are they rubbish?
