Will they accep me onto a curse if I am over qualified?

I have Standard grade Mathematics 5. I want to apply for the police however there is a standard entry test, I am not very good at Maths and I failed it the first time I went to apply for the police. I want to take a course on Maths so I can get up to speed again since leaving school. I want to apply for the National 4 Mathematics as you can do this Online which would be ideal, however will they accept me since I am already qualified in National 5? Any help would be appreciated.
If you meet their requirements, then I'm sure you would get accepted on the course.
