Childcare grant

Hi,

Question about the childcare grant - will it be paid the same time as the maintenance loan? And is it only valid from the day you start your course? My son's nursery are wanting fees in advance but I don't know what date my course starts yet. Thanks
Hi there.

We will only award Childcare for the periods during and between the years of your course, not before.

These will be paid in along with any other maintenance that you receive, three times a year.

Hi, yes that's fine so would that be the actual date the course starts or from 1st September?
Hi there.

It would be the beginning of the Academic Year, not the actual course start date.

So the 1st September is the date you become eligible.
