    The physical changes in older adults affect their self-esteem and self confidence by making them think they have become inferior in some way, usually how they look naked.

    Also differentiate self-esteem and self confidence. They is teh same thing aint they?

    Those who have always relied on having good looks panic.

    Those who found other ways to value themselves cope better.

    (Vastly simplified, but true more often than not.)

    They stop caring.
