Salaried job or university?

I wasn't sure where to post this, as I have just joined this page.

Basically, I have just been offered a job which is 18,000 a year, however I have always wanted to study psychology at uni. My problem is that I messed up my a-levels, and have applied for a higher access course which I have to pa for to enable me to go to uni. I don't know if I should go to college and do the course, or take the job offer.

I don't want to turn down this job offer, to put in all this hard work for college. I'm worried that I won't do well enough for any uni to accept me, and will a degree in psychology be worth it? I really need some advice.

    Thank you
